Sanrio is my lover but he doesn't know it..
Sanrio, oh Sanrio.
If you read my blog, you'll know I am a big Sanrio fan, so it comes as no surprise when I end up posting random items from their website..
I just can't help myself, everything is too cute, and when I say everything I mean EVERYTHING!!
Let the fun begin...
For Londoners, an umbrella. Let the cuteness captivate you.
The thing I love about Sanrio is that it makes me feel like a kid all over again. I make my outfits work with my Sanrio accessories, like this bag, which I will buy and take on my next night out.. just because I'm cool..
I have two sisters, one was a Keroppi fan, the other liked Little Twin Stars. I am a Hello Kitty girl, one hundred percent, but this Keroppi tote is calling my name to take him food shopping to Waitrose! And he's smiling!!
A scrunchie. In Pink.. This is adorable! Let's buy them all!
Now, for my geek girls out there. Let's make this a bit more tech savvy. Because Hello Kitty thinks of everything, she packed herself and some of her alter egos in this USB flash drive box.
I know picnics are over, so a cooling bag wouldn't be of much use in this weather. However, think about all the wine bottles you could fit in there...
A promise ring, from Hello Kitty to me.. lolz
And finally, a work of art. A Hello Kitty hat!!!!!!!! This is cuteness to the max. I am not sure if I'll be able to pull it off, but who cares? It's gonna get cold and I'd rather have her on my head than anything else!
Kudos Sanrio! Xx

My Pretty Desk..
This is like going back to school, except it's going back to the office. I am assuming everyone has had a lovely holiday, so now it's time to go back to work.
To make it less boring and a bit more 'bright' I found new stationery and desk accessories to make your desk the envy of the office.
First there have to be stickers. It doesn't matter how old you are, stickers are always useful. Specially when they are shaped like hearts.
I am terrible with numbers, so a pink calculator must make things easier right?
When I was a kid, I used to collect erasers. I had them in every shape and colour, and I would never use them, keep them in a box and let them look pretty. I might do the same with the erasers below..
When I was doing research for this article, I found the same item twice. This pencil sharpener is actually a desk tidy, how cool is it? You can either go to Paperchase, or go to Urban Outfitters to buy it.
Speaking of Urban Outfitters, I swear every day they add more merchandise to their website, it is amazing. I was in tears, literally..
These Smurfs are the cutest thing ever. They make a great present, I bet nobody else will have these!
A good notepad is essential for any working girl. This notepad from Topshop is very S&M, so no one in the office will mess with you.. or maybe the other way around hehe
A pretty desk is nothing if it's untidy. That's why these vanilla scented cleaning wipes are the bomb. They are cheap and they smell so nice!!!

Song of the Day.
So, I read somewhere that Sly from the late 60s hit band 'Sly & the Family Stone' is now homeless and broke. Those things always kinda break my heart, specially because it is not uncommon to see celebrities going broke after years of money spending and drug sniffin' hehe.
So let's support the cause and remember Sly for who he used to be, a very talented musician yei!

Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology
London is an incredible city. Even though there are haters out there who think London is expensive, I don't listen because I know there is always something out there. If you are a Londoner you should know that London is definitely one of the best cities around to go and do free stuff! Am I right?
One of my stops this weekend was to the Petrie Museum of Egyptian Archaeology.
Located in the heart of UCL, this tiny space is dedicated to the best of Egyptian and Sudanese relics. It is FREE ENTRY and it is absolutely incredible. It doesn't look like any museum I have seen before. It is more like a library, with tables and chairs for the students who are looking for a quiet spot to study and it is full of friendly faces.
The collection includes jewellery, tiles, everyday items and art.
The reason why I found this museum interesting is because it is nice to see such a well preserved little treasure. Nowadays, we are condemned to go to hectic places in Central London just to see a piece of history, and pay a huge fee for seeing an exhibition that might not be that great. This museum is free, small, and fun!
Plan a day out, go to the Petrie museum, and then go for a nice lunch out!

Kensington Palace. Enchanted Palace
This time Kensington Palace has really gone and done it. The latest exhibition 'Enchanted Palace' is the perfect showcase of magic and art. The exhibition, which features work by Chris Levine and Dame Vivienne Westwood promises to be an extraordinary experience for people of all ages.
The mixture of light, fashion and performance tells the story of all the princesses that have lived in the palace. Visitors have to use eyes and ears to find clues around and at the same time, understand the lives of these women. Their pain, their love stories, etc..
Tickets for adults are 12.50 gbp, so make sure to pencil it in your diary, because this is one you don't wanna miss!

Jackets for them Joes..
Since I live with 3 men, they helped me choose some coats for this season..
Ok, I had to choose amongst their wide selection, but they seem to be happy with the final choices.
When I asked them to choose some coats for me, the boys seemed confused. What they don't seem to understand is that a good coat is what gives a man at least a third of his sex appeal during the cold months. There is nothing hotter than a hunk wearing a sexy, long dark coat, or a sexy bearded man with a denim jacket and a scarf. The point is coats are good and they make a great purchase. They can be kept for many seasons, and since it is men fashion, it is always easier to put together an outfit.
This coat is from ASOS, and the reason why I like it is because of the buttons. It inspires a cool, naval style but it also makes me think of a soldier on his day off. I don't know why.
A denim jacket is essential in any man's life. Denim jackets are classics and they always make men look 'alternative'. This denim jacket from ASOS is an excellent choice. The denim is not too light, making it timeless, and the beige neck makes it the perfect jacket for a Sunday roast. If you want, put pins on it, add a badge, or just leave it plain. Best part? You can wear it with any pair of shoes. Guaranteed!! Try it..
All Saints have always been known for sharing the world the most amazing outerwear. Their leather is premium quality, and the fabrics they use for their coats and jackets are always resistant. The designs are simple, perfect for layering.
This coat is perfect for any occasion. It is almost like a modern day 'racing' overcoat, with the versatility to be combined with a more modern touch. Sexy.
Finally, a coat by Toast. The length is just right and when wrapped around it gives an air of countryside. Lets go horse riding!
So there you have it boys. There are millions of options out there, but remember that a coat is always a good purchase and can be kept forever!
Xx

Cheesecake Brownies
fI tried following this recipe from Smitten Kitchen. This was the result:
They were delicious and surprisingly, they did taste like cheesecake. The brownie part? Well, that's a different story all together..

Bertie Watkins. Art is Everywhere
Art is everywhere is a section dedicated to young creative minds. This time, it's Bertie Watkins' turn.
Bertie is only 20 years old, yet he has already accomplished so much, so he deserves this article.
Bertie you see, is all about theatre. He loves it with a passion which is difficult to find nowadays. He started it all by studying Drama and Theatre during his A Levels, and he hasn't stopped ever since.
He currently works as a young producer at the BAC, the Battersea Arts Centre, where he is in charge of schedulling and programming. He has also worked as a producer and director of a festival called 'If I Ruled the World', which took place at the BAC.
His work extends all the way to Edinburgh, where he has taken part in the Fringe Festival and also as part of the Creative Producer Exchange; a creative exchange between Manchester, Bristol and the BAC.
Bertie also encourages young people to get more involved in theatre and other creative arts. He runs a young people's theatre workshop at Graveney School, and his proactive passion for it makes him one of the best.
His dedication and efforts have paid off. He has shadowed some of the best British producers and directors such as: Sean Holmes, Nickolas Hytner and David Grindley.
Bertie is an inspiration to young people, therefore we should encourage people like him to keep doing what they do best, being creative.
Kudos Bertie! Xx

The 'I think I'm ill' kit..
I've come to the realisation that we are in that point of the year when people start to get sick. There's a little coughing going on in the back of the office, maybe one of your friends can't stop sneezing, or you are like me, where you just know. You feel it, like a shadow crawling from underneath summer's bed and getting ready to rock the fall.
I have discovered the ultimate salvation kit. This list includes every possible item you might need in case of a cold attack. It makes a great present for those who are already ill, and well, it's just nice..
I'm sure your friends or relatives will really appreciate it.
The first step towards recovery is a good cup of tea. After all, you've got to stay hydrated. Dragonfly tea is the perfect option. Being caffeine free makes it easier for the body to not dehydrate, and it's easier to fall asleep. My choice is Rooibos Vanilla everytime, but Waitrose has a huge selection.
I am also in love with the instant teas from Whittard of Chelsea. They currently have an offer of 3 for 2, so I chose my favourite flavours and placed my order. Again, the selection of flavours is huge, so try them all. The advantage of these teas is that they can be served hot or cold, and there is no need to add sugar.
Ill people need to feed. EXTREMELY IMPORTANT. However, when you don't feel well you just don't feel like eating. In my case, I am more of a soup and crackers person. I found really nice tomato and basil twists in Waitrose, but when it comes to soup I gotta stay old school. Heinz Chicken Noodle Soup. It always does the trick, everytime! It's great for hangovers too.. I like to add a few drops of tabasco lolz.
I love giving people blankets. They claim they are useless at first, but they always end up using them when they least expect to. So, if you're up for buying 100 pounds worth of blanket, go to Jack Wills and buy this beauty. However, if you're on a budget, just buy these uber cute socks from Topman.
When I am feeling under the weather I read Tim Burton. Your friends should do the same. Best book ever. Short, dark, funny, and with pictures. Great rhymes too.
Ohhh and last but not least, HMV is selling the whole freaking trilogy of Back to the Future for 9,99. Buy it!
Wrap it all nicely, add a card with a smiley face and make someone ill feel better :P
