Proper Football
I am sure I'm not the only girl whose apartment has become a stadium. I mean, beer cans, empty crisps wraps and Sky sports at full blast have been the highlight of my mornings.
I love football as much as the other person, but I have to put a stop to all the conventional shizzle that goes on. For starters, I don't really like beer that much, so the idea of sitting down for a couple of hours knocking back pints doesn't suit me.
My idea of an evening of football is pretty fun... So much better than peanuts and beer!
First the booze. Brother's toffee apple cider is my everything. It tastes better when it's freezing cold in my opinion. Try those kettle chips now.. haaa??? You can pretty much buy it in any big supermarket.
A woman is always a woman. I thought about napkins because well, I don't want people spilling their toffee goodness on my living room table. On the plus side, guaranteed someone will compliment my excellent taste in napkins! Available in Paperchase.
If you don't like cheesecake you're a loser. I mean, who doesn't enjoy a quality slice of good 'ol cheesecake? Waitrose makes the best one ever, at least on this side of the pond. However, if anybody has an awesome granny that bakes homemade cheesecake, kudos to her. Tell her to send me a slice :P
Finally, and for the pleasure of all the attendees, a match of Subbuteo during half time. Subbuteo is this really old school game that I remember playing with my cousin when we were young. Actually, I think he only played with me because I would suck. However, now I'm older so I am willing to give it a second shot to those wobbly footballers.
As you can see, nothing less is expected from me. I am already on my way to buy my cheesecake.

Song of the Day. All Dressed Up
I went to see Citizen Cope's performance at KOKO last week. He is amazing, and that's that. I wish they had had an opening band, because listening to their pre-made soundtrack got a bit boring. There's only so many times one can hear the original 'Monkey Man' without almost throwing a glass to the DJ.
This is 'All Dressed Up' and I love it. You will love it too.

Song of the Day. Soma
I had totally forgotten about the fabulous Stroked Album presented by Stereogum. For those of you in the dark, the Stroked album is a compilation honouring the album 'Is This It' by the New York band.
Although most of the covers are good, this must never be compared to the real album. However, it is nice to see young talent coming up with different sounds and ideas for songs that are iconic in our era.
My favourite track has to be Soma by Frankie Rose. The voice is perfect and they managed to blend the track and transform it into this delicious electro-pop-rock mellowness that bursts in your ears like Skittles.

Sunday Fun Day!
The art of Sunday is in making it as fun as possible. For some it's a Sunday Roast at the pub or at home, but for me it's online shopping. Today, my fun purchases were made at Bombay Duck, where the chic meets with the lady inside of me and I crumble..
Every time I go on holiday I always seem to forget to bring some spare bags with me. I never have a place to put my bathing suits or my dirty clothes, so I just steal one of those horrible plastic bags from hotel rooms. NO Mo'!!! This bag is 100% cotton, and it is just too pretty to not buy it.
Who looks good in a shower cap? Nobody! Still, there are days when you just want to wear one to preserve your glorious blow-dry and a towel won't do. Beauty Queen indeed.
Breezy evenings open the door to outdoor decorations, my favourite being this favulous hearts fabric lantern. Light up your evenings...
As a little girl I used to love charm bracelets, Oh, wait, I still do... There is just something so pleasant about adding new charms to a bracelet, or just buying a new one with a fun design. I guess for men it is the equivalent of filling those football books with stickers..
Sundays are made to be enjoyed. Rest, relax, use stumbleupon or go out. Do what YOU wanna do. I will stick to browsing BombayDuck.
