Song of the Day. Ain't My Home

Marc Scibilia is a great talent. Granted, he is also extremely adorbzzz.
And I think he has a point here..

<3. I feel like eating a cupcake now.. x D

GeekDetails @ Etsy

I swear all the time. I just can't help it. Maybe it's because English is not my first language, so I don't really measure the impact of my words. Oh wait, I do it in Spanish too, so never-f8k!n-mind...

The other day while I was doing my Etsy shopping, I came across this entity in Etsy cyberspace going by the name of GeekDetails. This person knows how to sell. Whoever he/she is I mean, super kudos.
How do you come up with taking vintage plates, mugs, teapots... and scribbling mature content on them? Ohhh life is fun.. And this person knows it. Most of the stuff sells pretty quickly because like I said, it's too cool. But there is always more to come and this person never disappoints. Go have a look and buy yourself a mug, there's nothing better than waking up, making tea and reading BITCH at 8am. yei!

See what I mean?

Kudos x :P

Châtillon-sur-Seine

I love France. I recently visited the small, yet charming town of Chatillon-sur-Seine.
What I love the most about it is the peace and tranquility it brings to my soul. Forget about hectic Paris and St Tropez, this is what relaxing is all about. It might get a bit too quiet toward the end, with shops closed on Mondays, and hardly any breathing creature for miles. Still, so worth it!

The wine is incredible, the views are spectacular and the food is cheap. Did I mention they have a cheese covered with raisins dipped in red wine?
Overall, the region is stunning, and the people are genuinely friendly, something we seem to forget in the big cities.

Song of the Day. When the Sunshine Comes.

Forget my last post, there is still hope. The weather man said 'it will get warmer'. So there you have it. Frodo style, not all hope is lost :)

This song is for Ninja, who is going to France tomorrow to chill and drink wine. And spend time in a sunny place. I am jealous. However, I know she will have a great time. So I am dedicating this song to her with the hopes that this beat will make her shake her derriere. Good times in the sun with some vino. Life is looking up.

Btw, I have mixed opinions about this video... the background beat is so good that why spoil it with this? anyhow, it is a good song :)

Pop! Design, Culture, Fashion @ Fashion & Textile Museum

These days I have pretty much given up hope of a sunnier/warmer tomorrow. Instead of spending my well-earned money on sexy summer outfits, I have taken a different approach. All my dinero is now transformed into a collection of tickets and confirmation emails for exhibitions.
London has so much to offer, and I am not going to let the bad weather or the Olympics ruin my flow. I love going out in London. This time I will be going to the FTM. (That's Fashion and Textile Museum for those of you in the dark).. muahahaha..

A wonderful exhibition is taking place there, and it promises to be amazeballs (i'm going as far as that). I mean, it will surely be attracting the fashionistas, art lovers and pop culture addicts!
The Impact of Pop Culture has been huge in our time. I mean, it did cover like three decades and we have recently seen a huge revival in Pop Art trends.
This exhibition of music, art and personality combine the best of fashion; items from Elton John's wardrobe, pieces by Vivienne Westwood, etc.
Photographs and items of clothing will bring us back to a time of poodle skirts and punk psychedelia. I am so up for this!!!

There is plenty of time, the exhibition will be on until October 27th, so buy a ticket and take someone special :).

Stickers!

I am sure this van travelled in time all the way from 1996... or maybe I travelled back in time...

I love the stickers. The smiley face stickers. Made my day.

Kudos!

Song of the Day. Warm Waves

it's all about remembering where you came from..

And potentially a hint of how much I wish I was somewhere warm, with a beach, and sand and cocktails with little umbrellas..

What a sweet sweet tune for mid week! D

Designing 007: Fifty Years of Bond Style @ Barbican Centre

Let's talk about sexy. Scratch that, let's talk about James Bond.
When I think of sexy, sex appeal, six packs or vintage dresses I see James Bond. The epitome of sexy comes as a whole package. The sexy women, the hot men, the fancy dresses and suits, the sexy cars, and the list goes on...

Decades have been filled with the adventures of the mysterious agent, so it is only fitting to showcase all of this art. Barbican Centre is hosting this decadent exhibition where everything about the Bond Film franchise will be revealed. At least in terms of style and fashion.

The exhibition will show the evolution of fashion in every movie, through costumes, gadgets and props. Most of the designs are by Prada, Versace, Armani, etc.. and well the gadgets are from... the production I guess..

This exhibition is on until Sep 5th, so go and see it because it is a once in a lifetime experience.

Have fun! D.

Song of the Day. You'll be Mine

I love how hippie this song makes me feel. The first line... 'we could bring a blanket for the grass'. I mean, flashback straight back to my high school days. Or maybe it's my high school days watching re-runs of that 70's show.

Anyway, it's a tune, and i can't help but think of ABBA, but southern, and hippie.

i'm going to get myself some moonshine..<3.

Aw.

The Spaniard's Inn

No sun, just rain. A distant memory of summer comes back to me every time I glance at those girls wearing no jumpers, or coats, or bras...
However, that doesn't mean that you can't Dream of Summer. Rain ain't gonna stop us..

Despite trying to come up with solutions, I am sick of being indoors. I need a cool place that doesn't make me pay an arm and a leg when I want to just sit there for hours and do nothing...

The Spaniard's Inn in Hampstead is the place to go. Not only is it one of the oldest pubs in London, it is also one of the most romantic, pretty looking places on Earth.

The pub clearly caters for people who live around the area. So, the place is super dog friendly (they sell what I assume are really tasty dog treats, because the packaging looked ever so sweet), they help out by having local art exhibits upstairs, and they have one of the widest and prettiest sitting area I have ever seen. People in Hampstead LOVE having space, that's why they live there.
When it's warm, the pub welcomes everybody to join them at their outdoor garden, which could easily be used as a movie set.
Even if the weather is not 100%, you can always go and have Real Ales and still sit outside, that's how cool they are.

A pub worth visiting, if it's sunny your experience will be better by a gzillion percent. :)

Song of the Day. 1904

I don't know what this song is about, but I love the part when he sings
 'and it's 1902...'
It is a great track, it grows on you like a fat toddler making funny faces.

Enjoy!

Kew the Music

I love the creative arts. Music, photography, sculpture, they are all so appealing..
When you suddenly find out that there is a music festival taking place at Kew Gardens (aka 'Pretty Place that just looks out of a fairy tale'), you wanna know more. You don't think twice about doing some digging. So...

The week-long festival combines the best of music with the botanical settings that Kew Gardens have on display.
Kew the Music will feature Status Quo, Pink Martini, James Morrison, Will Young and even the Gipsy Kings. I mean, dancing and partying at Kew during the summer? I'm in!

The Gypsy Kings

Pink Martini
