TFL: Unknown Collection

2Transport for London has always been one for artie stuff. They love to put poetry quotes on the buses, show pictures of transport from the early 20th century, and lets not forget the ever so popular tube stations across London. Tottenham Court Road for example, with its mosaics, and Oval with its Cricket deco.
Now, it is time for the unknown. TFL's Unknown Collection is an exhibition showcasing unknown artists, and forgotten collections of drawings, photographs, paintings and even full portfolios!
I think it's great that these pieces get to be showcased. It gives the audience an opportunity to interpret each work of art on their own way, or  to wonder who the artist was and what was he/she thinking when he/she came up with that work.

Go and check it out, and don't forget that TFL now has a shop. I don't know if it's a new thing or an old thing, but you can now purchase all the London Transport memorabilia you want!

Kudos TFL

xx
